A good cleaning at least every 3 months at the transmitter site is a good start. If you sweep and clean monthly, that is even better. Don't let it fester like the site in this story. This cleanup has taken months. Previously the site had not been cleaned or maintained in upwards of 5-8 years (at least). As a matter of fact, we vaccumed drywall dust off the top of the phasing equipment and transmitter that probably came from the upgrade of the radio facility sometime in the late 90's.
Ever heard the term "We'll button that up later"? This paticular item (PC) was installed in november of 2007. Entire radio operations have been built on "buttoning it up later".
